Google Apps includes a series of free web-based tools that help users to stay connected and organized. By using custom domain names, these applications work together to keep users connected wherever they are. The Standard Edition is free and offers the same amount of storage as regular Gmail accounts. The Premier Edition, which offers 25 GB of e-mail storage, is $50.

Platforms

The convenience of Google Apps is enhanced by the fact that tools can be accessed through multiple platforms. Through the use of Google Sync and various widgets, many of these applications are visible and/or usable from your desktop, mobile phone and PDA in addition to online.

User Involvement

Google Labs are testing grounds for features that aren't yet ready to go into these applications. Some of them come from the minds of the Google team, while others are made by users.
